Physical health of any child could easily be checked and understood or even diagnosed, but so far child’s mental health is concerned, it is indeed a very difficult task. If the child has fever, one would easily feel it simply by touching his body or if the child suffers from coughs and colds, it is not at all problematic to understand his condition either. But what a child is mentally thinking or suffering cannot be judged simply by his expressions.
His mental health problems may be harder to identify, but one can obviously learn to
recognize the symptoms anyway. Paying attention to his excessive anger, fear, sadness or anxiety or abrupt alterations in his behavioral attitudes can definitely guide you about his mental problems. Equally his behavior such as excessive exercising or hurting or destroying things may lead you to realize his mental illness.
Some of the most commonly found mental health related problems in child include: depression, anxiety, behavioral disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Child’s mental health problems can disrupt his routine domestic lifestyle, even at school or in the community. Mental health problems, without help, can lead to school failure, alcohol or other drug abuse, family discord, violence or even suicidal attempt.

Psychology is the medical term connected with human brain or behavioral qualities. Psychology in adults and children vary in certain ways. Child psychology could also be termed as Child development. The term also means the study of psychological processes of the children and especially the way such processes differ from the process in the adult individual, the way the child develops or grows from his birth to the end of adolescence as well as how and why they differ one child to the other. The subject of child psychology is often clubbed with infancy, adulthood and aging under the category of developmental psychology.
As the technical regulation with the solid experimental basis, the child study has been relatively recently initiated. It is supposed to have begun since 1840 when Charles Darwin started recording the growth and development of one of his own children, collecting the data much likely showing that he was studying on some other species. The similar or perhaps more detailed study that was published by on of the German psycho physiologists named William Preyer which described and presented the methods for the series of others. G. Stanley Hall, the American educational psychologist, sometime during the year 1891, instituted the Pedagogical Seminary – the periodical devoted to child psychology and pedagogy. However, during the early twentieth century the development of intelligence tests and establishments of the child guidance clinics defined the field of child psychology further.

When the child eagerly struggles or endeavors to become an adult, that very stage could be termed as Adolescence in children. At the same time the parents who wished their child to raise happy, healthy, independent adult, they struggle to keep their child growing adult so fast.
We really need to know what the teenagers are prepared for every step they set. Adolescents are also anxious about what they are ready for and instead
of seeking their parent’s concern, they need proving themselves that they are grown enough to take the next step. Adolescents are always eager trying something new before the parents are ready to permit them. The actual contradiction of parent’s anxiety is that their adolescents cannot prove that they are prepared to do something until parents permit them to do so.
Adolescence is the time when the child grows into adults and parents grow into the parents of adults. Many missions are there which adolescence must achieve for becoming adults. Some of them are connected with the adolescence phase. Younger teenagers have to deal with the puberty and adjust with their body demands. By the middle of adolescence, the teenagers have to move away from their guardians or parents and attain independence. However, the final moves during the late teens leave them planning for future adult roles like their career and perhaps family matters.
