Most surprisingly the obesity problem in children is gradually increasing every where in the world today. It is suspected that at least 80 percent of such children would remain overweight even when they grow adults, if it is not taken up seriously. This may also put them at risk for various medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, higher cholesterol levels and sleeping disorder. Moreover, their self esteem could also be badly affected as they grow older.

It is therefore better that the children should be motivated and thoroughly helped in their weight loss campaigns. They should be taught good eating habits and undergo regular routine physical activities and exercises. The best way to get rid off excess body weight and keep the body fit is involve the body into more and more physical activities or sports or exercises, like: brisk walking, jogging, biking or bicycling, roller skating, ice skating, running, swimming, rope skipping and participate in several sports like volley ball, basket ball, base ball, foot ball or soccer, hockey, tennis and so on.

Even practicing like walking down the nearer distances, climbing up or down the stairs and purposely strolling around while reading books etc. can be of great help in attaining weight loss goals and maintain fitness thereby.

Nutrition can be referred as nourishment with food or diets. Nutrition is highly important for the overall body growth and fitness of the body. The health and wellness too are directly associated with nutritious foods or good nutrients.

Health and nutritional diets always help children grow and learn properly. Balanced and proper nutritional foods not only help the children grow healthy but also keep fit and avert overweight or obesity. It may also keep the children away from the weight related disorders like diabetes or blood pressure etc. the fit body weight would keep the children more active and playful that in turn would help them grow even better and stronger.Nutrition for Childern

Some useful tips may help you give the children nutritious diets: try to offer at least five servings of fresh fruits or vegetables per day; select healthier source of protein like lean meat, nuts and eggs; include whole grain breads and cereals as they are rich in fibers; avoid fried foods and replace them with broiled, grilled or steamed foods; restrict fast foods and junk foods; offer water and milk instead of fruit drinks and sodas containing sugar or synthetic sweeteners.

Also exchange dialogues with your doctors and try to learn about the child’s nutrient requirements. Several necessities such as iron and calcium would vary as the child ages or grows up.
